Welcome to Get Into English, a new web-magazine to help you improve your English communication skills. I promote and discuss different ways for you to get better at English, including how important it is to have a positive mentality towards learning (in fact this is really important!).
Who is David Sweetnam?
I’m a professionally trained teacher of English from Australia. I lived in Canada, England, Scotland and France before coming to the Czech Republic over ten years ago.
It was on my travels that I got to love languages. Now based in Prague, I offer English training, specialising in Cambridge ESOL Exam Preparation and Business English. I’ve taught all levels, from beginners to proficiency, large groups and individuals, and have have over 11 years’ experience with preparing students for the Cambridge exams, such as the FCE and CAE.
I read the latest releases from US and UK authors on communication, relationships, and business skills, and incorporate new ideas into my lessons. I’m also into sport, learning other languages, and travel. Last summer I visited Hungary, Serbia and Italy, and in the future I can’t wait to travel across South America.
